Privacy Policy

SalesCareers (“SalesCareers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates SalesCareers.com and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, the choices available to you, and how you can contact us about your information.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use SalesCareers.

Account Information

If you create an account, we may collect information such as:

• your email address;
• your name;
• whether you identify your account as a candidate or employer; and
• information necessary to authenticate and maintain your account.

Passwords, verification codes, password-reset processes, authentication sessions, and related authentication functions are handled through our technology provider. SalesCareers application code does not store or have access to your plaintext password.

If you choose to sign in using Google, we may receive information associated with your Google account, such as your name and email address, as permitted through the sign-in process.

Candidate Activity

You may browse jobs without creating an account.

If you create an account and use account features, we may maintain information about your activity, such as jobs you choose to save.

SalesCareers currently directs candidates to external employer, recruiter, or applicant-tracking-system websites to apply for jobs. SalesCareers does not currently collect resumes or completed job applications through the Service.

Employer and Job-Posting Information

If you submit a job, we may collect:

• company name and related company information;
• your name and email address as the employer contact;
• job title, location, description, employment type, work arrangement, industry, role category, and experience level;
• compensation information you choose to provide;
• an external application URL;
• whether you request Featured placement; and
• records showing your acceptance of applicable terms.

Employer contact information submitted through the job-posting form is maintained separately from the public job listing and is not intended to be displayed publicly.

If you are signed into an employer account when submitting a job, we may associate that submission with your account so that you can view its status.

Newsletter Information

If you sign up for the SalesCareers newsletter, we collect your email address, the signup source, and information necessary to record your subscription status and consent. We may also save limited acquisition information with your signup — the landing page route, the general type of referring source, and campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium, and campaign when present in the URL — so we can understand how subscribers find SalesCareers. We do not collect full referrer URLs, IP addresses, device identifiers, device fingerprints, or geolocation for this purpose.

If you are signed into a SalesCareers account when you subscribe, we may associate the newsletter subscription with your account. If you subscribe without signing in, the subscription is not linked to an account.

Subscribing indicates your consent to receive the SalesCareers newsletter only. It is not consent to receive other email, such as job alerts or other marketing messages, which would be separate and require separate consent.

If you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record, including your email address and unsubscribe status or date, so that we can honor your request and avoid unintentionally resubscribing or contacting you.

We use a third-party email-service provider, Beehiiv, to deliver our newsletter and manage subscribers. When you subscribe, your email address and other information necessary to operate the newsletter, such as the signup source, may be transmitted to and processed by Beehiiv as a service provider acting on our behalf. We also store Beehiiv's subscriber identifier for your subscription so that we can keep our records synchronized. SalesCareers maintains its own record of your newsletter consent and unsubscribe status, which governs our subscription practices. We have not enabled Beehiiv's optional advertising, data-enrichment, or cross-publication behavioral-tracking features for our newsletter.

Contact and Privacy Requests

If you contact us or submit a support or privacy request, we may collect:

• your name;
• your email address;
• the type of request; and
• the contents of your message.

Usage and Analytics Information

We collect limited information about how visitors use SalesCareers so that we can understand and improve the Service.

This may include:

• pages or routes viewed;
• job and role categories;
• work-arrangement categories;
• structured job filters;
• interactions such as viewing a job, clicking an external Apply link, saving or unsaving a job, submitting a job, requesting Featured placement, registering an account, signing in, subscribing to the newsletter, or submitting a contact request;
• the general type of referring source, such as direct, search, social, or other referral; and
• campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium, and campaign when they are present in the URL.

Our custom analytics implementation does not intentionally include your name, email address, free-text job searches, contact-form messages, passwords, authentication tokens, precise location, or device fingerprints in analytics event payloads.

Our acquisition information is stored in session-level browser storage so it can be associated with activity during that browser session.

Automatically Processed Security Information

We use security and infrastructure providers that may automatically process technical information necessary to operate, secure, authenticate, or protect the Service.

For example, our job-submission form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate users from automated or abusive traffic. Cloudflare may process technical and interaction information in connection with that service.

Our hosting and application platform may also process information such as network, device, request, authentication, and security information as necessary to provide and protect its services.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• provide, operate, maintain, and improve SalesCareers;
• create and authenticate accounts;
• provide Saved Jobs and other account features;
• receive, review, moderate, publish, promote, expire, or remove job listings;
• associate employer submissions with employer accounts;
• communicate with employers about their submissions;
• provide customer support;
• respond to privacy, correction, deletion, and other requests;
• manage newsletter subscriptions and opt-outs;
• understand how visitors find and use SalesCareers;
• measure product performance and improve our services;
• detect, investigate, and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, security incidents, and other harmful activity;
• enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights and the rights of others;
• comply with applicable laws and legal obligations; and
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We seek to limit our collection and use of personal information to information reasonably related to operating, securing, improving, and growing the Service.

3. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate portions of SalesCareers. These currently include:

• Base44 — provides application infrastructure, hosting, database functionality, authentication, account-management infrastructure, transactional authentication emails, and application analytics.
• Beehiiv — provides email delivery and subscriber management for the SalesCareers newsletter, and processes subscriber email addresses and related newsletter information as a service provider on our behalf.
• Cloudflare — provides Turnstile bot and abuse protection on our job-submission form.
• Google — provides an optional Google sign-in method for users who choose to use it.

These providers may process information according to the services they provide to us and their applicable terms and privacy practices.

External Job Application Websites

When you click an external Apply link, you leave SalesCareers and visit a website operated by an employer, recruiter, applicant-tracking provider, or another third party.

Information you provide on that external website is governed by that third party's privacy practices, not this Privacy Policy.

Legal, Safety, and Business Purposes

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

• comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
• investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or illegal activity;
• enforce our agreements;
• protect the rights, property, or safety of SalesCareers, our users, or others; or
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business Transactions

If SalesCareers is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of evaluating or completing that transaction, subject to applicable law.

4. Sale of Personal Information and Targeted Advertising

SalesCareers does not currently sell personal information for money.

Providing information to service providers that process it on our behalf to operate the Service, as described in the "Service Providers" section above, is not a sale.

SalesCareers also does not currently use third-party advertising pixels or similar technologies to track visitors across unrelated websites for targeted advertising.

If our practices materially change, we will update our disclosures and provide any choices required by applicable law.

5. Job Listings and Public Information

Job listings and company information are intended to be publicly accessible.

Job information may come directly from employers or recruiters or may be obtained from third-party job sources that SalesCareers is authorized to use.

Employers should not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information in public job descriptions.

Public job and company information may remain in our business records after a listing expires or is removed from public display for purposes such as marketplace history, analytics, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and business operations.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, our ongoing relationship with you, legitimate business and security needs, and applicable legal requirements.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

For example:

• account information may be retained while an account remains active;
• Saved Jobs may remain until you remove them or the associated account data is deleted;
• employer contact and terms-acceptance records may be retained after a listing ends when reasonably necessary for recordkeeping, disputes, fraud prevention, enforcement, or legal purposes;
• historical job and company records may be retained as business and marketplace records even after they are no longer publicly displayed;
• newsletter signup records, including consent status and any limited acquisition information saved with the signup, may be retained while the subscription is active; and
• newsletter unsubscribe information may be retained as a minimal suppression record so that we can continue honoring an opt-out;
• support and privacy-request records may be retained for a reasonable period after resolution; and
• aggregated or deidentified business and analytics information may be retained for longer periods when it no longer reasonably identifies an individual.

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is maintained, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it as appropriate.

7. Your Privacy Choices and Requests

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, which may include rights to request:

• access to personal information we maintain about you;
• correction of inaccurate personal information;
• deletion of certain personal information; or
• a portable copy of certain information you previously provided.

You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the email or through our unsubscribe page.

You can remove Saved Jobs through your account.

To submit another privacy request, use the Contact page on SalesCareers.com and select the appropriate privacy request type, or contact us at support@salescareers.com.

We may need to verify your identity or your authority to make a request before fulfilling it.

Certain information may be retained even after a deletion request when reasonably necessary or permitted by applicable law, including to maintain suppression records, complete transactions or provide requested services, maintain business or contractual records, protect security, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.

8. Email Communications

If you choose to receive marketing or newsletter emails from SalesCareers, you may unsubscribe at any time.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not necessarily prevent us from sending non-marketing communications that are necessary to operate your account, respond to a request, provide a service you requested, or address security and legal matters.

We may retain the minimum information reasonably necessary to honor your unsubscribe request.

9. Browser Storage and Similar Technologies

SalesCareers and its technology providers may use browser storage, cookies, authentication technologies, or similar mechanisms necessary to operate accounts, maintain sessions, provide security, and deliver application functionality.

Our custom analytics implementation uses session-level browser storage to retain limited acquisition information during a browsing session. It does not create its own persistent cross-session identifier or device fingerprint.

Third-party providers involved in authentication, security, or infrastructure may use their own technologies as necessary to provide their services.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information appropriate to the nature of the information and our Service.

These measures include access controls designed to restrict private information based on user roles and ownership, server-side controls for sensitive submission workflows, bot and abuse protections, and efforts to minimize unnecessary collection of personal information.

However, no website, database, network, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

SalesCareers is a career and employment-related service and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

SalesCareers may contain links to employer websites, applicant-tracking systems, recruiters, company websites, and other third-party services.

We do not control those third parties, and this Privacy Policy does not govern their privacy, security, or information-handling practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing personal information to them.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as SalesCareers evolves, our information practices change, or legal requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this policy. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we may provide additional notice when appropriate or required by law.
