About SDR Jobs

An SDR focuses on the top of the sales funnel: researching potential customers, running outbound calls and emails, qualifying leads who respond to marketing, and booking meetings for account executives. Success is usually measured in qualified meetings and pipeline created rather than closed revenue.

Most SDR plans are base-salaried with variable bonuses, and the role teaches prospecting, resilience, and product knowledge in a structured way. Many companies promote strong SDRs into closing roles, which makes it a proven entry point into a sales career.
